First Open Meeting – 4th February, 11am-1pm, York Explore Library

York’s Alternative History is in full swing! So far there is stuff going on or planned about Luddites, the Gay Liberation Front, York punk bands, anarchism in York from 1960s onwards, feminism, disability activism and direct action, York Against the War, collective ownership, York Free Press and a Whole Foods Bakery on Gillygate…

To discuss all this and much, much more we have planned our first regular Open Meeting for York’s Alternative History for 11am-1pm, 4th February in the Garden Room at York Explore Library.

All are very welcome indeed. At the moment we are hoping to use the meeting to share what we’ve all been up to, discuss ideas for developing the website and plan future events or meetings. But the agenda will be shaped by all present.

We’ll also have a scanner up and running, so you can bring along old photographs and documents to scan in.

If you have any questions in advance about anything, do get in touch via the contact page.
